Decision Process : Get System Load: Find Load/Subscriber

Step 7 : Find Load per Subscriber

For a new system, if we know the Erlangs of traffic expected, we can get an average load per subscriber by dividing the expected traffic by the number of subscribers per cell.

The number of Erlangs per subscriber should be specified in the bid or contract. Be sure to verify it with the customer.

Normally for a new market, we assume a value between 0.02 - 0.04 Erlangs/subscriber.

Following the example

Assume 0.025 Erlangs/subscriber is the average load.

Continue with Step 8: Find Load per Cell (Erlangs).
