Step 6 : Set Cell Site Type

As we learned earlier, the type of cell site you use has an effect on the number of channels needed in the cell and the resulting traffic capacity.

Following the example

Let's look at both omni and sectored in terms of number of subscribers served.

Omni

There are 587 subscribers (determined in the last step).

Sectorized

For a sectorized site (as shown), we divide the 587 subscribers by our proposed sector arrangement. This shows us how many of our subscribers are served by each sector (alpha, beta, and gamma):
